Adventure Club - School Age Child Care
Adventure Club, the child care program of Robbinsdale Area Schools, is open from 6:30 am until school start time, and from school release time until 6 pm on regular school days. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade may enroll. Adventure Club welcomes students and families of all abilities and will provide reasonable accommodation to aid in the success of students in our program.

Early Adventures
Early Adventures is the full-day care with preschool component of Robbinsdale Area Schools. By combining high quality childcare with the district's preschool curriculum, this program offers an opportunity for students to prepare for kindergarten in a safe, nurturing setting with adults who are especially trained to work with preschool students.
Staff with a combination of education and experience especially suited to preschool aged children will lead a curriculum focused on social, emotional, physical and creative development skills throughout the day. A district teacher will provide students with a preschool experience centered around language and literacy, as well as mathematical thinking each day. A formal assessment of each student will be conducted at least twice a year to ensure the needs of each child are being met.

Youth Enrichment
The Basement
The Basement is the middle school care program of Robbinsdale Area Schools, open from 7 AM until school start time at PMS, RMS and SMS. The Basement is open at FAIR Crystal, PMS and SMS from school release time until 6 PM as well. All students in grades 6-8 are welcome. The Basement welcomes students of all abilities and will provide reasonable accommodation to aid in the success of students within our program.
Want a safe space for your student to get ready for the day? The Basement will provide students with an opportunity to hang out with friends, finish up any assignments, and participate in fun hands-on activities. This is a great option for district students to stay engaged and get involved with their school community.

Aquatics
The Robbinsdale Area Schools Community Education Swim Program offers high quality, and affordable swim lessons. Each level introduces new skills that reinforce previously learned skills. We offer swim lessons in the fall, winter, spring and summer at both Plymouth Middle School and Sandburg Middle School. Please be aware that the water temperatures are cooler during the school year. The pool temperature is kept at 82 degrees. A swim shirt is highly recommended. Locker rooms will be available for changing or showering. One lifeguard will be on the pool deck at all times.
Our group swim class size is up to ten students per instructor and the cost is $99 for eight 30-minute lessons.

Windows of Opportunity
Windows of Opportunity is a Robbinsdale Area Schools Community Education program that provides recreation, education and support activities for adults with physical, neurological and/or developmental disabilities, age 16 or older.

Facilities
ECFE
Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes are designed to strengthen families and support children's healthy growth and development. We provide services, classes and support for families with children from birth through pre-kindergarten. Our licensed teachers work to support parents and partner with them to help young children develop their physical, linguistic, cognitive and social potential.
ECFE will help you learn more about positive guidance, eating and sleeping habits, your child's development and many other aspects of your relationship with your child.
Early Childhood Screening
Early Childhood Screening is a free and simple check of how your child is growing, developing and learning. Early childhood screening is required for kindergarten and most preschool enrollment.
Screening is preferred at age 3-1/2, but can be done anytime between 3 and 5 years old. Early Childhood Screening is an early look at a child's development to help identify specific needs that may interfere with learning, growth, and development. The screening is conducted by trained staff and covers the following areas:
- Fine and gross motor skills
- Speech and language development
- Cognitive and social development
- Vision and hearing
- Height and weight
- Immunizations

ECFE Preschool
ECFE Preschool classes serve children who are 3 or 4 years old on September 1. Classes are held at the New Hope Learning Center and meeting for 2 1/2 hours each day. Programming is provided on a sliding fee scale.
One day per week, parents and caregivers meet with a licensed parent educator to share and explore strategies and skills that support raising emotionally, mentally, and physically healthy children. The other days, children attend class on their own to socialize and engage in active play and learning with their peers.
