Week 4: Innovation Explorers- Food Lab Entrepreneurs (Gr. 6-9)

Food Lab Entrepreneurs Week mixes creativity, science, and business into one delicious experience! In this hands-on enrichment, kids test recipes, experiment with flavor combinations, and learn basic food safety while exploring how food ideas turn into real products.

Students design brand packaging and labels, then put their skills to the test by running a playful pop-up café or snack shop. Along the way, they’re introduced to concepts like costs, pricing, supply chains, and menu design in an age-appropriate way, with career connections to chef, food scientist, and food truck owner. The week wraps up with a fun Snack Lab Pop-Up Shop, where kids proudly showcase their tasty creations!
