Load in the parking lot near the community education side at door #11. 2:30 p.m. Leave Lenox Community Ctr. 6715 Minnetonka Blvd., St. Louis Park - load in parking lot. 4:00 p.m. Arrive in Mankato. 4:15 p.m. Have a meal at Number 4 Restaurant. Menu: A Classic Chicken Pot Pie with a Buttery Flaky Crust, Beverage, Mini Crème Brule. 5:30 p.m. Leave Number 4 Restaurant. Driver: See special directions for motor coaches - some streets restrict motor coach traffic. 5:45 p.m. Arrive at the Sibley Park Kiwanis Holiday Lights Display. The pathways are paved. There are over one million lights in the park. Older displays were created by volunteers who bended, welded and molded metals into forms. They then attached color rope lights to the frame to create the display - some them are over 15 feet high! Newer displays are significantly larger and often involve moving LED light bulbs. Santa’s Toy Factory is 29 feet high and nearly 40 feet wide. Other displays include the Candy Cane Cottage and the Elves snowball fight, flying Santa, and the 19-piece Nativity scene. There are concessions for sale in the warming house. Heated rest rooms are located near the entrance. There is a skating rink with a synthetic surface, live reindeer, animated and choreographed Lights. Concessions and souvenirs are available in the warming house.
