This class encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science in a fun, supportive environment. Perfect for young scientists who love to ask “what happens if…?” and get their hands a little messy while learning!

Creature Dex Creation is a creative enrichment course for students in grades 3–5 who love imaginative worlds and collectible creatures. Inspired by the idea of building your own Pokémon-style universe, kids will design original creatures from scratch—thinking about appearance, abilities, habitats, and personalities. Through drawing, writing, and creative design activities, students will build their own “Creature Dex,” strengthening artistic skills, storytelling, and critical thinking along the way. This class focuses on creativity and originality while tapping into kids’ love of creature collecting and world-building—perfect for young designers and storytellers ready to invent something entirely their own!

In this hands-on workshop, you'll be guided through the process of designing your own unique suncatcher using crushed glass and resin. We’ll cover everything from choosing your color palette to safely working with resin, and you’ll learn simple techniques to help you bring your vision to life. Enjoy a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere as you craft a piece that catches the light and brings a touch of beauty to any window. Supply fee of $15 (cash preferred, credit card option available) paid to the instructor.

In Cupcake & Cookie Creations, students in grades 6–9 will dive into the sweet world of baking and decorating! Kids will learn basic baking skills, explore fun decorating techniques, and bring their delicious ideas to life with cupcakes and cookies. This hands-on class encourages creativity, patience, and confidence in the kitchen — all while making tasty treats to enjoy and share. Perfect for aspiring bakers who love to create and indulge!

Interested in exploring a new play space? Caregivers can drop-in anytime to play with their children as they explore a children's classroom and learning activities at the New Hope Learning Center. A Parent Educator will be available to answer any questions and provide resource information. There is no fee for this activity. Child care for siblings is not available. Registration is not required. Caregivers and their children 21-48 months.

One day per week, caregivers and children attend together. While children are in preschool, caregivers get to meet with others and a licensed parent educator to discuss topics such as child development, discipline, and the transition to kindergarten. Children attend alone on the additional days per week. It's the perfect combination of preschool and parent education! Families are responsible for transportation. Children must be the indicated age on September 1, 2026. Child care is available for siblings 3 months to 5 years old while the parent and preschooler are in class. Registration is required. Children under 3 months are welcome to attend class with their parent.
