Week 2: Urban Nature Explorers- Nature Walks & Urban Ecology
This summer, students slow down and tune in to the natural world around them. In this hands-on course, children will observe wildlife, trees, waterways, pollinators, and insects through guided outdoor exploration and simple scientific practices.
Students will learn how to look closely, ask questions, and notice patterns in nature—watching birds and bugs, tracing the paths of water, and discovering how plants and pollinators support healthy ecosystems. Along the way, they’ll build curiosity, observation skills, and a deeper appreciation for the living world right outside their door.
Perfect for kids who love being outdoors, exploring, and learning through experience, this course turns summer days into meaningful nature adventures.
